Housing rehabilitation projects transforming Wellston neighborhoods for residents.
In partnership with the St. Louis County LCRA, Port Authority, Community Impact Network, Beyond Housing, and McBride Homes, Wellston is launching a major residential redevelopment bringing 178 new homes to the Lulu Heights neighborhood across 25 acres of publicly controlled land.
Under Mayor Griffin's leadership, Wellston has seen significant momentum in housing redevelopment efforts, including the rehabilitation of long-challenged public housing properties. These initiatives focus on resident stability, safe living conditions, and long-term neighborhood improvement.
Mayor Griffin was elected in the April 5, 2022 mayoral race, reflecting community confidence in his leadership and direction for Wellston's future.
Mayor Griffin has worked with county, state, federal, nonprofit, and private partners to advance redevelopment plans and bring attention and investment to Wellston.
